Course Outline

The course covers techniques for formulating research questions, building theory, collecting and analyzing data (using both quantitative and qualitative methods), assessing validity, and publishing. We will discuss the strengths and limitations of each research method and apply them to a real study. We will particularly focus on mining software repositories (GitHub).
